The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

Written by Velo Hyundai at 16:49 1/8-2018

Its been a busy couple weeks for Velo Hyundai as the team experiences how true racing really works. Since the last update there have been some positives.
At Spa, 4 finished in the top 9 including a 3rd place for Hardt and a 4th for rookie Lowder.
Then at Arad, 4 finished in top 9 including Seymore finishing 5th as our highest placed rider.
The team then went to Lake Mutirikwi where 3 finished in the top 9 including Hardt in 5 followed by Lowder in 6th and another rookie Oertling in 7th.
In Samayec, Oertling finally got to use his TT ability for himself and finished 8th in the U23 race.
Since then, the team has struck out in Galloway (Hardt-12th), Nieves (Cappon-79th), Constanta (Hardt-25th), and at the TT in Oresund (Hyder-20th)
Upcoming targets include a sprint on the cobbles in Richmond, a U23 cobble sprint in Valle, followed by a TT in Nome and a sprinters delight in Victoria Falls. Management is hoping that one of these races will break the team out of their current dry spell.
When it comes to the team roster many moves have been made. The team has added 22yo Sebbe Cappon from Belgium as a possible TT Talent, an unknown 20yr German rider Leon Hirsch, and a 22yo Englishman Jasper Billings would could be a very nice sprinting talent. To help fund the pickups, Robson, Seymor, and Grigsby have all been released. "Now that we have started and are getting serious about the reboot of this team, we had to get younger," Dom said when asked about the recent changes. "I want to thank the guys for their service in helping us get on our feet and going again, but its time to move on With Lowder, Oertling and our newest acquisition Billings. I'm really excited for him has he could easily be our fastest rider in the sprints to date."
For the training report, Lowder maxed low at 62 in sprinting and has already been worked to 64 in technique. His training is currently on hold as the team awaits news of the Billings deal. Oertling maxed at 70 if TT and has begun training in flat road riding. He has become the primary training focus in hopes he can find results with Hyder in the TT races to help fund the training of a sprinter who can close out a race.
Current Sprint Race Lineup- Hyder(LO1), Oertling(LO1), Lowder(LOSP), Hardt (Capt), Erny (LO), and Toledo(LO)
